Mystical Rain of Stones

There are numerous unexplained events occurred in the history of this world, one of the major such event is of falling of stones from the sky. It has been observed that many times it starts to rain stones from clear skies, leaving many people injured, and the researchers baffled. Reports of such events can be found throughout the history; however, the most earliest such event was reported by Robert Kirk in 1690 who witnessed the throwing of stones to subterranean inhabitants. Another such event of hail stones was reported in 1698 in New Hampshire and was also published in London with the name as “Lithobolia, or the stone throwing Devil”.Now we shall consider the following bizarre cases of hail of stones from nowhere.

Harrisonville, Ohio, 1901: - On October 13th, as reported by the “Buffalo Express”, a stone came crashing through the window of Zach Dye’s house and this was only the beginning, soon the whole village was under strike by the stones falling from the sky. It rained stones again the next day as well, the villagers thought that maybe the ill-behaved children are responsible for this, and all the male kids were gathered together, but the stones fell from the sky for the third day as well. The villagers could not find any answers for such bizarre incident.
Sumatra, 1903: – Another strange event of stones falling from nowhere was reported by W.G. Grottendieck. He said that while he was sleeping in his room around 1 a.m; small black stones which were pretty hot to touch started falling into my room and even stranger aspect of this event were that it made no holes in the roof of his room, and were slower in motion, the stones.
Marcinelle, Belgium, 1913: – According to the police, a house remained under attack for four days by some anonymous stone thrower, who indeed had great accuracy. The police secretly kept an eye on the house to catch the vandal, but no one was ever found. One officer said in his statement, “I have seen a stone arriving in the middle of a large window-pane and then came others in spiral round the first point of impact…. I even saw, in another window, a projectile caught in the fragments of the glass of the first hole it made, and subsequently ejected by another passing through the same point.” Approximately 300 stones hit the house in four days.
Ardeche, France, 1921: – Usually, such stone throwing events remained for only few days, but this farmhouse in France remained under constant attack for four months. The weird aspect of this bizarre event was that apples were also coming from the holes made by the previously hit stones.
Sumatra, 1928: – Another such surprising event of falling stones, was reported in Sumatra by a very famous paranormal activity investigator Ivan T. Sanderson. He said that he was sitting in the veranda of an estate house as guest when suddenly a small black stone fell from and unknown location which was followed by dozens of small pebbles. Sanderson performed an experiment; he marked the fallen stones and threw them back into the tangled garden, and within few seconds all those stones were thrown back again, which was surprising indeed. Sanderson wrote about his experience, “Within a minute they were all back! Nobody, with a powerful flashlight or super-eyesight, could have found those little stones in that tangled mess… and thrown them back on to the veranda. Yet, they came back, all duly marked by us!”
Oakland, California, 1943: – Mrs. Irene Fellow and her family after becoming victim of stones for 2 weeks finally decided to report to police. Serious investigation was carried out by the police, because the marks of stones hitting the walls and windows and in the garden were easily visible. The investigation was carried out for few weeks, but no clue was ever found.
Brooklyn, Wellington, New Zealand, 1963: – On March 24th, a guest house remained under attack for seven hours by some stone thrower, and when the investigation was carried out later, the police even found coins fallen on the floor along with the pebbles, first it was thought that maybe the guests might have dropped it but they coins were many in number. The same mysterious event occurred for two more nights, but after that it stopped.
Skaneateles, New York, 1973: – In this the case the victims of the falling pebbles were the two fishermen, the strange stone storm followed them where ever they went. The storm actually started when they were packing up after fishing and running towards their car, and after that the stone rain started again when they stopped for a small time on their way to home. The two men then decided to have a drink, and as soon as they left the bar it started to rain pebbles again. The reason of such an event was never found.
Arizona, 1983: – This is one of the most mysterious events ever witnessed. The Berkbigler family was the victim of this wacky incident when they moved into their new home. The family was attacked by stones several times, usually at night between, 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The authorities too avoided to visit the home when they were also attacked by the stones. Very strange aspect of this event was that the stones had to move past the van through a narrow passage from the garage to hit the door. This incident remained in force for weeks terminating on the December 4th.
These are only few such bizarre cases mentioned above. Hundreds of such cases have been observed in the past century, but answers for such happenings are yet to be found.
